Head Nurse/Staff Development
Provides direct supervision and leadership for nursing employees on Med Surge unit to maintain continuity of nursing care in conjunction with the hospital/nursing mission, goals, policies and procedures. Works in collaboration with the CNO to ensure standardization of systems, identification of efficiencies, and integration of performance improvement strategies which support LCH nursing goal attainment while fostering patient, physician, and employee satisfaction. Interacts with all hospital departments to operationalize nursing integration, service line development, and standardized nursing practice. Incumbents are responsible 24/7 and are under the direction of the CNO.
Responsible for Staff Development.
The candidate must have a current State of Tennessee RN license. Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing. One year experience in acute care is required.
